My mom hates jeans; she thinks they are uncomfortable. I wear them all the time because, for me, they ARE so comfortable. They go with almost anything. Few articles of clothing can transition into different styles or wear for most occasions. I live in jeans practically every day, from sneakers to stilettos, and I know I am not alone.
When buying jeans, I do think it is crucial to consider your body shape. Jeans come in so many shapes and styles that it is vital to wear the ones that flatter your physique. I am glad there is now a lot of positivity and self-acceptance in embracing and loving your body shape. It is not about being big, small, or trying to look like someone else. It is about being aware of your form and highlighting the areas you love most about your body. Work with your body shape, not against it.
Typically, the longer you own jeans, the better they will fit. They start to conform to your body even after hundreds of washings. What this means is they should be o-so-slightly snug when you buy them. Not small or tight, yet they should feel like they are giving you a light hug. I also recommend jeans with stretch denim. These will offer you unparalleled comfort and should conform to your body without over loosening throughout the day.
What I Am Wearing
I recently wore these jeans, Amo Loverboy Jeans (TTS) out to brunch. I feel it is more difficult for me to pull off boyfriend jeans because of my height. Yet, I am drawn to them like a magnet for how comfortable they are to wear. These are a cropped straight leg with a frayed hemline in a versatile light wash. Light-washed denim is a prominent trend for fall.
Typically, I almost always pair boyfriend jeans with a form-fitting top to appear more slender against the jeans’ baggier version. I love this Commando bodysuit. It is excellent by itself or as an underpinning for cardigans and jackets.
The second guideline for me is wearing a shoe that gives me more height to elongate the leg and diverts from the roomy-fitting jeans. I am obsessed with this brand of footwear, Marion Parke, which is new to me. However, in a blink of an eye, I now own five pairs because their fit is like no other. They are created by a foot and ankle surgeon, which are deceptively comfortable given how elegant each shoe is. I had to have this pointed-toe leopard pump because a girl is only human. Shopping Tips for Your Next Pair of Jeans
Let us face it, sometimes we need a lower price to fit within our budget; other times, an item prompts us to splurge. I typically try to showcase multiple options of a similar style or product at different price points. Either the prices list from least to luxe within a collection of comparable items, or I will show at least two price options of a similar style within an overall category. Below I have segmented each section by price point for browsing within your budget (some are already substantially discounted, so they will not last long).
When you hover over an item below, you will see the retailer, brand, price, and potential sale price. You can even opt-in for sale alerts. Just click ‘♡ Get Sale Alert.’ You will be notified each time the price drops. It is like the shopping spree in Pretty Woman. But this time, you do not need a sugar daddy to buy them. That is what a ‘♡ Get Sale Alert’ feels like!
